Built for Commercial Kitchens and Retail Shelves

One Rosalta slab does three jobs: it sears, serves chilled and cures. It holds cooking heat for roughly 30–40 minutes off the burner for table-side service and seasons food without added salt, giving venues a premium presentation format and retailers a giftable product.

Table-side service:

a heated slab holds cooking temperature for roughly 30–40 minutes off the burner, so steak, prawns or scallops finish in front of diners.

Natural pink Himalayan salt cooking slab for searing, chilled serving and curing

Three menu uses from one product:

hot searing, chilled serving for sashimi, cheese and desserts, and quick curing of thin fish fillets in around an hour.

Himalayan salt cooking block for gas cooktops, BBQs and ovens

Works with existing equipment:

gas cooktops, electric tops with a trivet, BBQs, and ovens heated from cold. Induction needs a steel holder or base plate.

Seasoning built in:

food draws salt from the slab's surface, so kitchens add no extra salt.

A product story that sells:

Khewra origin and natural pink crystal give retailers and hamper brands a premium, giftable format.

Care Guidance That Cuts Breakage and Returns

Most slab breakage comes from moisture and fast heating, not product faults. Staged heating over about 40 minutes, dry storage and no soaking or detergent keep slabs in service longer. Share these rules with kitchen staff and retail customers to protect margins and reduce returns.

Heat in stages:

about 15 minutes on low, 15 on low-to-medium, then 10 on medium.

Keep slabs dry:

air-dry for 24 hours after cleaning; never soak, use detergent or a dishwasher.

Cool in place:

leave a hot slab on the burner or grill until it reaches room temperature.

Store against humidity:

in Brisbane, Cairns or Darwin, wrap slabs with a desiccant pack.

Bulk Buyer Quality Checklist

Before choosing a salt slab supplier, check six things: thickness matched to use, a flat cooking face, even translucent crystal without deep fissures, dry padded packaging, food-contact certification documents, and end-user care instructions. These decide breakage rates, returns and how long slabs stay in service.

Thickness matched to use:
Flat cooking face:
even translucent crystal without deep fissures
Dry, padded packaging
Certification documents
Care instructions for end users

A salt slab alone will not heat on induction, because salt is not magnetic. It needs a steel base plate or holder that the induction zone can heat. Our slabs also work on gas cooktops, electric tops with a trivet, BBQs and ovens heated from cold.

Heated regularly, a salt cooking slab typically gives 10 or more cooking sessions before replacement, while slabs used only for cold serving last far longer. Choose 2″ slabs for daily hot cooking, because thicker salt survives more heating cycles, and budget per service.
